Seaside, Florida - Fiberglass Statue Factory Just west of the tony faux Victorian town of Seaside on the Florida Gulf coast is a
fiberglass factory which apparently makes all the cheesy figures which are used by tourist attractions. What makes the factory really interesting is that the woods around it are littered with the hulks of fiberglass statuary. Whether these statues are rejects, repos, or test models, I don't know. It's a good place to climb on life sized plastic elephants, though. The factory is hard to find -- it's in the woods off the main road.
