Buffalo, New York - October Surprise Storm Statues Large wood statues of famous and not so famous people. The statues are made from the fallen trees caused by the October Surprise 2006 Snow Storm. They are scattered around town and their web site carvingsforacause.com says they may move, but I haven't seen one moved since they were first put in place.
