McClellanville, South Carolina - Hampton Plantation - Antebellum Skeleton Hampton Plantation is an old plantation house that is stripped down to the beams on some of the walls -- it has no furniture to speak of. Very interesting to see how they made the walls and you can still see some of the original paint on the walls. You can also walk down to the place where they had the rice fields. If you go, take plenty of bug repellent, because it is close to a body of water.
