Charlotte, Vermont - Moose and Tourist Sadly, the long-standing "tourist" taking a picture of a very real looking moose on Route 7 in Charlotte is gone. Not sure when it came down, but the moose and his admirer are no longer with us. [sma17, 03/19/2008]
Charlotte, Vermont - Buffalo, Moose and Tourist There is a twice life-sized fiberglass buffalo on the crest of a hill on Route 7. At the base of a hill, "observing" the buffalo, is a fiberglass tourist snapping a picture of the buffalo. To the tourist's right is a half again life-sized fiberglass moose fording a stream. As with the whale tails, there is no signage, no explanation, nothing. It's private land so we never did find out what was going on, besides it being weird.
Either Brandon or the next town has a used car dealership with a King Kong statue holding up a VW Beetle. I have no idea what King Kong is made of, but he sure must be strong, because that was a real Beetle, not a replica. [L.J. Evans, 05/20/2000]
