Directions:: Knoebels Grove Amusement Park, east of Elysburg in Knoebels Grove. The museum is to the right of the Log Flume ride in a darkened building right next to the bald eagles. Ask for directions at the gate; it's a big park.

Knoebels also has "Black Diamond," a spook ride that takes you into a fake coal mine to witness the burning destruction of nearby Centralia.

Mining Museum - Knoebels Amusement Park

The Mining Museum is located in Knoebels Amusement Park. Admission is free, both to the park and to the museum. My family and I have been going to Knoebels for years but for one reason or another never actually went in the museum. Our loss -- the place is filled with plenty of great photo opportunities. It's a goofy place, as well as being informative. We had a fun for a half hour or so there.
