Van Horn, Texas - Smokehouse Car Museum

Stop for some excellent beef barbeque at the Smokehouse in Van Horn, on I-20 1/2 between El Paso and San Antonio (yes, that's 600 miles across) cuz you'll be hungry and thirsty by then. Go left in the entrance and you'll be seated for dinner. Go right, and you'll be in a slightly decaying but brightly lit warehouse of amazing old cars.

Billed as the only classic car museum in Far West Texas, they have restored vehicles from the nine 'teens to the '60's. The management claims to rotate the display regularly from a private collection. On the walls and in cabinets are are photos and other automobile-related memorabilia.
