Either the tree grew through the house, or the house was built around the tree that's now grown much too big. Either way, it's enough to give any homeowner the willies.

Tree through House

The tree growing up through the house has been cut down. The house remains.

But sadly now this isn't an attraction by any stretch. Taken off the maps!

My wife spotted this on a trip to the Adirondacks. It's a house that's apparently been built around a tree, with a thermometer tacked on to it for good measure. The twigs and other debris on the roof also give the impression that the tree burst from the house.

We've seen architectural integration of trees in houses before, but this looks more like a time traveler's miscalculation...
