Button King Museum
Took the kids here. The Button King wasn't around, but the museum was open and had a sign telling us to come on in. It was a really neat sight.

I took a group of kids on a field trip to the Button King Museum, and even though they were kind of lost on the "why" Dalton would do all this, they enjoyed it just the same. They really enjoyed the toilet and the bathtub. The museum was really just a large shed with a bunch of Button King memorabilia set up, but it was still one of the neatest places I have ever stopped. There was a really nice memorial that he set up in honor of his late wife. Before we left, he pulled out his guitar and played a song for all of us. I probably enjoyed it more than the kids, but there's just something about cute old men playing guitar and singing about boozing that makes my heart flutter.
[Danielle O., 11/23/2012]Highlight of our vacation. Mr. Stevens is a very jolly and interesting person. My favorite Roadside stop ever!

My family stopped here on the way home from a vacation. Mr. Steven's son greeted us and he retrieved Mr. Stevens to give us a tour of the Button Museum. I will tell you that Mr. Stevens is a very kind, interesting, and charming gentlemen. This was absolutely the highlight of our trip.
Allow yourself at least an hour, because the tour includes video highlights of Mr. Stevens with Johnny Carson and various other television hosts. Many people will remember seeing him make the rounds on the talk shows back in the '80s and '90s. See if you can guess which one is the Button King in my picture!
