2,000 ft. tall tower. Syracuse, Missouri - 2,000 foot Tall Tower

2,000 foot KMOS TV Tower (also called Rohn Tower). The tallest structure in Missouri and 5th tallest in the world. It was built in 2000-2001.

At the time I lived close enough to watch them build it. It was pretty neat to watch them lift the workers to the top of the tower. They would just attach a cable to the harness on their back and then dangle on the line while the crane lifted them to the top! [Tom Maness, 08/01/2008]
