Pickled Heart Miracle Man

Brother Andre was recently (Feb, 2010) declared by Pope Benedict XVI to officially qualify for sainthood.

Now even more sacred, Brother Andre's heart remains in a glass jar on display. There's also a statue of the miracle healing holy man at St. Joseph's Oratory.

Saint Joseph's Oratory - Monk's Heart

It looks austere from the outside, but inside this church harbors the pickled heart of a monk. It's behind glass and inside a murky jar, but it's there. The oratory also features a wall of crutches abandoned by the miraculously healed, a garden with an oddly coke-and-porn feel, a carillon, and some off-putting sculpture. On your way out feel free to buy some holy oil or holy water.
