Johnson's Rock Shop and Museum
Johnson's Rock Shop and Museum is down a dirt road -- if raining, I recommend a truck.
[Sarah Danford, 07/31/2021]It is a wonderful, off the beaten path place, that Mr. and Mrs. Johnson opened many years ago. There are several small buildings that they built over the years -- one is a small museum. One building contains fossils, another crystals and quartz, etc. Mr Johnson is a fascinating man! Mrs Johnson is sweet, and she runs the small gift shop and makes jewelry. Their collection includes petrified wood is wonderful, rocks and minerals from the US, and from around the world. They take tour groups by appointment. I have been there several times and always enjoy the visit. Closed first 2 weeks in February, otherwise open 7 days a week.
