New Gretna, New Jersey - Champagne Bottle Large Champagne bottle along Rt.9 in New Gretna, NJ. White in color, with smiling faces and grape vines around the base on all four sides.
I have always wondered why it is there, but no one seems to know. There is nothing around that I can see that it belongs or belonged to. [Steve Mc, 09/25/2009]
[RA: This is an old promotional statue for south Jersey's Renault Winery. It was probably leased as a sort of billboard, and now no one has the heart to demolish the classy landmark. Good thing!]
Tuckerton, New Jersey - Big Champagne Bottle This big white champagne bottle is sitting incongruously in a field right beside US Highway 9. The decoration is detailed and well-done. It would look quite appropriate somewhere in France. It is painted white and is about 20 feet tall. Seems to be made of concrete. [Greg Melle / Notsorry.com, 09/24/2008]
