Le Roy, New York - Human-Size Statue of Liberty

In the center of town there is an almost human size, i.e. 6' tall, version of the Statue of Liberty. We visited the Jell-O Museum near by and the museum workers told us of this. It's pretty cool and the park it is in is quite pretty. The Boy Scouts dedicated this statue back in 1955.

There are hundreds of Lady Liberty replicas across the US, many provided by local civic organizations. This one is, perhaps, a remnant of a Boy Scouts of America project to "strengthen Liberty" probably donated in 1950-51? Did anyone read the plaque?
