Lafayette, Indiana - Meals Delivered by Model Train

There's a restaurant in Lafayette, IN, called Pizza King. One of their attractions was the "Train Room" in the location near Jefferson High School. The booths had very high backs, and for a quarter, you could watch TV for 15 minutes or play whatever video game they selected for the day. But the real attraction was that, after you ordered your food and drink through the speaker in the wall of each booth, the drinks would come out to the booth on a train. Each booth had a different scene from the city, and the plexiglass door to get to the train only opened when the train had stopped at the booth. [Jill Shain, 08/27/2000]
