Klamath, California - Paul Bunyan and Babe - Babe's Head There are news reports that the head fell off the giant Babe the Blue Ox statue at Trees of Mystery yesterday. It's being blamed on rain damage that has rotted the internal support, causing the head to peel off and fall snout down onto the paved walkway next to the parking lot.
The attraction plans to restore the statue. When we asked if they really expected to have Babe repaired by Christmas 2007, the folks at Trees of Mystery answered with an emphatic "Definitely!" [RoadsideAmerica.com Team, 11/24/2007]
