Mount Dora, Florida: Ghost Walk and Marionette Show

Went on this bizarre Ghost Walk: it starts at this little museum that has a jail cell, moonshine still, a coffin with a fake body and ventriloquist doll next to the corpse, and a display case with a Dr. Nutter's antique medical equipment.

After viewing the museum, we were instructed to sit in the theater area, where we saw a 10 minute marionette show that was weird. Then a guy in Victorian clothes comes out and tells the story of this doctor, he shows us skulls and saws, and things the doctor used on his patients. Then the jaw of the skull falls into the lap of a girl and she screams; it's comical and very strange. Then we go on this 1 hour walking tour of downtown Mount Dora, thru bars, restaurants, haunted hotels etc. It culminates with a bone fight with two tour guides outside a bed and breakfast where this Dr. Nutter supposedly had his medical practice. Guests inside see these two guys throwing (probably fake) bones at each other. Tour people are doubled over laughing; the guests of the hotel come out and watch in amazement.

Then we return to the museum for a goodbye speech. Highly recommended, but go on the last tour of the night when the other tour guides join in.
