Solomon's Castle

Solomon's Castle is a fun and unusual trip. Thoroughly enjoyable and the restaurant is awesome!

[Patty, 03/26/2015]

The restaurant, The Boat in the Moat, was designed by Howard Solomon to resemble a Spanish Galleon (with attached lighthouse). Open Tu-Su 11-4. NO credit cards.

Solomon's Castle

Fascinated by this quirky place. Don't miss the 90 stained glass windows, the boat in the moat, and the Alishmo. Had a delicious salad and the best apple crisp ever at the restaurant.

Solomon's Castle - Talk to Solomon

Love Solomon's Castle! His collection of art is interesting and unusual. The castle is extra special because Solomon is a born "recycler," and was using recycled objects before it was popular to do so. He is also fun to talk to and has a great personality.

Solomon's Castle

Nice way to spend some time. Solomon is a very talented, imaginative, skillful, gentle, and funny character. Lots to laugh about while touring the castle (mostly a tour of his wacky art made from metal and/or wood). We thought the $10 tour was worth it, but it is an interesting place even without the tour. As stated, the food is great (at least get dessert).
