Sergeant York's Grave
Being a lover of history and having recently watched the movie Sergeant York it was definitely a bucket list stop to see his grave, as well as tour his home and farm. It's off the beaten path (on Hwy 127) through the country and limited cell service. Have your GPS already loaded. If you choose to tour the house and then walk to the gravesite -- it's about 1/2 to 3/4 mile walk on a narrow dirt path, and you have to cross over a suspension bridge.

We were driving through the country in Tennessee on US127 when we saw signs pointing to Sgt. York's grave site. While it appeared that you had to walk quite a way (about 1/2 mile as I recall) to the site, we drove on and were surprised to find another sign at the Wolf River Loop road. We followed the road to the very tidy Wolf River Cemetery where Sgt. York is buried along with many of his relatives. It's a very nice memorial to a great American hero.
