Smallest Park in the United States - Former
Decided to take a look at the former Smallest Park, and almost missed it. It's pretty small, but kind of neat.
[Jennifer, 04/11/2011]Not sure if this park is the entire grass-filled area, or only the little circular section with the monument and flag? The Portland, Oregon park is on our to-do list, but maybe there can be two title-holders, maybe this is the smallest park with a marble dedication memorial? Either way, keep your eyes open, since this attraction is easy to miss and it was tough to park close. Having a navigator always helps!
[Dale & Virginia Divers, 09/09/2010]Smallest Park in the United States
Albert Park was recognized by R.L. Ripley's "Believe It or Not" as the "smallest dedicated park in the USA." Albert Park is located at 991 Dodd Rd. in scenic West St. Paul, MN. A granite monument occupies the center of the tiny triangular park with an inscription that verifies it as the smallest park in the USA by R.L. Ripley!
