Man-Eating Clam

Hmm. How to put this? I'm not sure if this is a scale model of the ACTUAL Man Eating Clam, or if the men it eats are somewhat less than average size, but hey, it's still a Really Big Clam! Plus cheesy knickknacks galore. And a Statue Petting Zoo!

The confusing claim compelled you to pull over and investigate. Man Eating Clam: we thank you for your service!

200 pound Man Eating Clam.

Man-Eating Clam

I am glad I stopped, but I don't think I'd stop again. I mean, if cheesy and cheap baubles and knick knacks are your thing, then here is your Mecca. Everything is packed into narrow aisles -- so much stuff. The clam was sort of interesting, though much smaller than one would imagine a man-eating clam to be.

Treasure City - Souvenir Store

They advertise, "Something for Everyone," and it's the truth! It's knick-knacks galore at Royalton's Treasure City! Be greeted by the large pirate [plywood sign] out front and explore the treasures inside. A few bucks will get you a bounty of booty...everything from genuine Minnesota souvenirs to seashells to t-shirts to all the plastic collectibles you could want -- and lots of things you didn't even realize you want! Be sure to look for the man-eating clam inside. Plus, they have free ice, cup of water or coffee and cookies. I also got a free postcard with my purchase.
