The Naniboujou Painted Lodge
The Naniboujou Lodge is a rustic lodge and dining room from the 1920s, whose every surface is painted in the brightly-colored motifs of the Cree tribe. These stunning murals in the bright colors of marigold, green, red, orange and blue make the place seem like a holy temple, but if you read the fine print they were actually painted by a French artist in the late twenties.
Now run by a quirky evangelical Christian couple whose beliefs forbid them from serving liquor.
