Farmington, New Mexico - Revolving Globe of Military Service Located in Farmington New Mexico's All Veterans Memorial Park is a revolving marble globe. The globe is an etched marble sphere about four feet in diameter. The amazing part is that the globe appears suspended by a small fountain of water flowing from its base. It slowly revolves to reveal the major countries/continents of the world, marked to show where U.S. service men and women have served their country.
Located along the banks of the Animas River, the All Veterans Memorial Park alone is worth the visit. The park recognizes the contributions of all American veterans - past, present, and future. From the Revolutionary War until the present, this park pays tribute to men and women who served to preserve the freedoms of our Nation. [Daniel Barber, 06/17/2009]
