Viking Ship - Gone

I spent several hours trying to locate this attraction. I finally called the number provided here, and spoke to The Grandfather Tree, who confirmed that the Viking Ship had at one been located there, but had disintegrated from weather exposure.

Sadly, this attraction no longer exists. [Roxanne B, 07/05/2011]

The Viking Ship was built by some teenage boy scouts and one of their fathers. He owned land near the Grandfather Tree in Redwood country. It was sailed once or twice, and then put there.

I understand the sailing didn't go all that well.‎ [DNC, 06/18/2009]
