Goony Golf Green Dinosaur The Goony Golf Green Dinosaur has been a Topeka landmark since the 1970s at the Sports Center Inc. The three-shaded green, handmade cement dinosaur is standing upright with the aid of a big white bone. The Dinosaur pulls the caveman up and down to block your shot to the hole.
The green dinosaur was designed by a woman for her husband's company, Amusement Products of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
There are several other interesting sculptures on the course at each hole. They include an alligator, a family of ghosts, a goony bird and a hand-standing bear. [Phil Pasquini, 08/28/2009]
