San Antonio, Texas - Alien DNA on Display Before I moved out to California, we took a trip down to Austin and San
Antonio to say our goodbyes. While down there we went to a place across from
the Alamo full of old cowboy and ranching junk.
The the old ranchhand running the place was a hoot and we had a great time looking at the mouldy animal displays and the LIFESIZE stuffed jackalope. The main sell for the place was a sign saying "ALIEN DNA" and this proved to be "unidentified remains" of "otherworldly" origins brought to Austin from some mysterious location. (It was a smelly old puma corpse if you want my opinion...slowly dropping to pieces inside a glass case). The owner had "official documentation" that the DNA taken from the thing "wasn't human." Best of all, for my $3 I got to take all the photos I wanted. [Cathy Reed, 09/07/2000]
