Avenue of Faces
Nice place to stop and picnic on the way to or back from Las Vegas. The kids had a great time trying to find all the tree carvings.

"The Avenue of Faces" is a row of several carved trees across the street from City Park, as well as a few carved stumps inside the park's grounds. They are the work of local artist Kent Holmgren. He's been sculpting wood for over twenty years and uses a chainsaw. These sculpted trees are also known as "tree spirit" and every tree's face is unique. Apparently, the trees are not harmed by the carvings.
There are more of these tree spirits in town by the same artist at Brite Lake, down Banducci Road.
