Superdawg Drive-In

Superdawg Drive-In, Inc. is the only drive-in restaurant in Chicago, internationally known for delicious food and iconic roadside architecture. My grandparents, Maurie and Flaurie Berman, built Superdawg in 1948 at 6363 N. Milwaukee Ave., on the Northwest side of Chicago, just a few miles from the origin of Route 66.

Today, we are still thrilling customers with the same friendly, family service at our original location. Our unique building design and two 12 foot paper mache/fiberglass hot dog character statues (Maurie and Flaurie) have been standing on our roof since 1948.

Perhaps Chicago's most famous drive-in restaurant, Superdawg features car service, a small enclosed dining area, and two giant weenies on its roof. Food comes individually served in retro-style cardboard boxes.
