From the bottom of their all-beef hearts, Maurie and Flaurie Superdawg welcome everyone to their unspoiled perfect old-school drive-in, built in the early '50s. Little has changed throughout the years. Carhops bring delicious food to your car, and hang it on your window, just like you remember from when you were a kid. Everything comes "escorted" with Superfries as standard, and your Superdawg comes in his own glorious red Superdawg lounger box! The food is delicious, the carhop girls are friendly and proud to be Chicagoan, the vintage cars that show up on balmy summer nights are not to be believed!
[Holly, 05/25/2006]There is a restaurant called Superdawg with two Giant hot dogs (him & her) standing on top of the roof. They have car hops that deliver your food to the car. The tray hangs on your window. Kinda cool!
[John Christiansen, 03/10/2002]SuperDawg Hot Dogs
Drive-in diner where you can get a true Chicago hot dog, with all the trimmin's. Be sure to get the neon green relish, but watch out, the peppers are HOT! The hot dog comes served in a box packed tight with french fries. The experience is straight out of the '50s. The establishment offers many other deep-fried choices and some tasty shakes.
You know you're there when you see the giant fiberglass hot dog on the rooftop.
