In 1989, your road trip might have been temporarily blocked while waiting for 2,800 cattle to cross a road between Roundup and Billings. It was part of a 6-day, 50 mile reenactment of a typical cattle drive to the stockyards. The sculpture, a bronze rendering by Lyle E. Johnson and Dale E. Wood of a cowboy herding two longhorns, celebrates the ambitious 100th anniversary event.
