Hurricane Katrina Sculpture Across from the Convention Center is a large sculpture of a house in a tree. It is a Hurricane Katrina memorial. [Sarah, 12/30/2009][RA: Yes, a memorial -- could tell right away it wasn't just a random, enraged bayou monster with its head stuck in a shack. The sculpture was created by artist Sally Heller from Katrina trash, and is named "Scrap House."]
