Flight of the Hawk Sculpture Park In addition to the giant hawk, there are other representations of local wildlife, such as deer and wild turkey. Those with bee allergies take note -- the clover field beneath the sculptures was teeming with honeybees (real, not metal). There is a wide shoulder on the road, however, where you can take photos if you don't want to brave the park meadow.
[Kitsa, 06/09/2012]A steel sculpture of a red-tailed hawk having a wingspan of more than 14 ft. The hawk is landing on a "nest" some 40 ft. in the air. The sculpture was created by local resident Ric Leichliter. Other, admittedly smaller, but still "life-sized" steel animal sculptures are in the park.
There is a small parking area nearby.
