Visitor Tips and News About Wilder Museum - 900 Dolls
A great small town historical museum. One of the features/exhibits is the collection of hundreds of dolls. The museum is a must see if you are in the area. Open during the tourist season.
Rated as one of the best small museums in the state of Iowa. Great fun, high class.[Robert Peterson, 04/05/2010]
If you're already in town to see the big strawberry, this sounds like it's worth a look. The Wilder Museum features exhibits on prairie life, artifacts from a doctor's office, Indian arrowheads, as well as local history. Most of this doesn't sound unusual. But there are the hand-carved farm scenes of Ernest Hoffman...and where else can you see 40 lighted Victorian lamps and a 1950s 4H dress?
