Visitor Tips and News About Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum
Well worth the tour price. We originally asked if we could just walk around the museum, but in order to see the prison itself you have to go on the tour. Takes about an hour and you get to sit in the gas chamber, see the gallows, all the cell blocks and learn some great stories about life at the prison. Great guides know the answer to any question you might have.[Janki, 07/11/2012]
Really creepy but cool prison. Wish I could have been in town for the late night tour, which was to take place on Friday the 13th. This place is spooky enough in the daylight so I can't imagine how scary it would have been to see at night.
If you want to get a picture of yourself sitting in the gas chamber, you better do it fast. The tour guide closes the gas chamber door shut and moves on pretty quickly. I was fast, so I got my picture, but I was the only one.
Lots of really bad guys were housed in this prison. The tour guide covers some of the more spectacular stories.[Karen, 08/17/2010]
