This is a great place to take your kids. Make sure you go when it's busy so you can see all the action. You won't see the trains moving much during the slow time.

Meals Delivered by Model Train

Another location of Fritz's (the other two are on the Kansas side of Kansas City). Inside the mall-hotel complex of Crown Center, Fritz's offers overpriced diner food, but the thrill is when your food arrives. Unlike Pizza King or some other Railroad Restaurants, Fritz's trains run on tracks up near the ceiling, your basket of food suspended beneath the locomotive. When it reaches you, the basket drops to an elevator platform which then lowers itself down to your table so you can retrieve it. Model trains are also throughout, as well as a replica locomotive out front.

Don't forget to get your souvenir paper engineer hat!
