Golden Spike Monument Stopped at the Golden Spike Monument on our way to Omaha. The Spike is at the center of a large grassy park. Parking wasn't the best.
We also stopped at Fairmount Park in Council Bluffs, looking for black squirrels. Our trips have taken us through their twice now, and we've struck out both times looking for the critters. [Steve, 10/25/2010]
