Elizabethton, Tennessee - Christian crosses I noticed someone posted a tip about the two sets of crosses
in Elizabethton, TN. The "Jesus is Lord" sign is actually by the newer set
of crosses (I think they were put up around 1990, maybe a little earlier).
The man who put them up said he had a dream in which he was told to do so.
Christmas lights are put on the older set around, oh, Halloween or sometime.
I'm not sure when this older set was put up. There's even a parking lot you
can stand in and see both sets of crosses. That's how close they are!

Address: Elizabethton, TN
Directions: Off 19-E in Elizabethton, TN. Once you're into the town, the road forks - keep right. This will take you through downtown and the older crosses will be right in front of you on the hill. When you get to the small bridge, look to your right to see the Covered Bridge. Go to the end of this road and take a left. At the next intersection is the parking lot where you can see all 6 crosses.
Elizabethton, Tennessee - Big "Jesus is Lord" sign, three crosses There is this big sign on a side of a mountain that has
"Jesus is Lord" in big red letters. You can see it from the downtown area. It has
been there since I was a kid, and I even think since my mom was a kid. In the past few years it has fallen into a little disrepair and needs painting. Also on the top of another little mountain across from it are three crosses that you can see from almost anywhere in the city. They light a big tree up there during the Christmas holidays, and have an Easter sunrise service in the spring.
