Muffler Man hippie. Hippie Muffler Man

The Hippie Muffler Man is still in good shape! He even has a necklace painted on him. While we were visiting him, we were honked at by two real Hippies. They flipped us the peace sign while driving a VW (although it was a Jetta). They then pulled into the Yasgur's Farm ... it was perfect! [Lindsey T., 04/27/2011]

Muffler Man Tie Dye with Fish

The tie dye Muffler Man has been moved from its traditional location on Rt. 42, since the Eden Brook Fish Market has been demolished. It's reported that owner Roy Howard had the statue moved to his home in Bethel (Yasgur's Farm). It is supposed to be back for public view, somewhere, eventually.... [Janet Wilgus, 05/20/2003]
Tie-dye man. Muffler Man - Tie-dye with a fish

I can confirm the Monticello muffler man. He is on Pleasant Street, in front of a fish store. He's been around the area for quite a while; I forget where he started out, but for a while he had a normal shirt and an ax in his hands. (By the way, his hands are correct, right up and left down) Then his shirt was painted in tie-dye (Monticello is only a few miles from the ORIGINAL Woodstock!). He now holds a large fish in his hands. [Elizabeth McAllister, 10/04/2000]
