We rode the train recently with our little ones and even though it was cold out, the ride was fun. Don't use GPS or cell phone maps to get there though, service for both is spotty. Keep your eyes peeled for a small drive off the side of the road with a big wood sign overhead to mark the spot and allow extra time in case you get lost. Steam train was great, trees were beautiful and the gift shop had lots of stuff. Nice people running the shop, too.
