74-foot High Cross A 74-ft tall cross overlooks Huntsville from Monte Sano. The cross was erected in 1963. It can be seen while driving on Governor's Drive or by taking the walking trail to it from the Burritt Museum. You can either pay for the Burritt Mansion Tour to see it, or you can take the trail for free by stopping at the parking area at the beginning of the trail and walking up to it. The beginning of the trail is on the drive up to the museum. If you pay for the museum tour, you will have access to a village of 19th century log cabins that have been relocated to this property.
