The restaurant has changed ownership. Not sure of the new name. The Hat is still on the roof, but is badly damaged.
[Dwight, 09/11/2020]Leprechaun Hat
I always found the Leprechaun horror movies of the '90s to be pretty silly. How much damage could a dwarf who can only color-coordinate with a Gumby doll possibly do? Now, if they made the leprechaun huge then it could do some damage. Plus, they could tie it into a Godzilla spin off.
I think that's the route The Emerald Isle in Worcester, MA was going when they hoisted their gigantic leprechaun hat atop their bar next to I-290, the busiest road in town. As you drive through downtown Worcester, this green hat adds itself to the skyline.
As for the Emerald Isle itself, I've never been in it but it is a bar catering to a mix of college kids and Worcesterites.
