A gift from the Sol C. Johnson High School class of 1962 commemorating the team name. The "Home of the Atom Smashers" sculpture is a brick pedestal featuring an arm clutching a hammer, about to strike a spike held by another arm and drive it into an atom -- hoops arrayed with orbiting electrons. The school gym is called the "Reaction Chamber."
