Directions:: In front of S and R Egg Farm. Hwy 59 west out of Waukesha about four miles. The chicken is on the left side of the highway, just after crossing Saylesville Creek.

Large Chicken

I live one mile east and see the chicken every day. The new owners took it down a few years ago, for a short time, to build it a new, sturdier base.

The new owners of the chicken farm have removed the large chicken. It no longer exists. I'm not sure if it has been moved elsewhere (I live in the area).

Giant Chicken

A large white chicken stands atop a table in front of the local Egg Farm on Hwy. 59 west of Waukesha. This chicken looks REAL -- unlike the much touted Big Chicken of Marietta, Georgia which is rather robot like.

The giant chicken was already there when I first moved to the area in 1976. The egg farm is still in existence. The chicken looks northward across the highway -- wistfully dreaming of that most sought after of havens, a cottage in the northwoods!
