John Ivers loves the thrill of roller coasters, so in 2001 he built his own, The Blue Flash, in his backyard. In 2006 he built a second coaster, Blue Two.

We drove by this morning, the house and building are still there but no roller coaster in sight.
[Sam Hunt, 05/10/2021]Roller coaster enthusiast John Ivers spent two years of weekends and spare time constructing a private one-seat roller coaster in his back yard, unveiled in 2001. It is 20-ft. high and 180-ft. long, fashioned from junk metal and parts he scrounged from his job at a local equipment company.
The ride features a 360 degree corkscrew and goes over the top of a barn. Though it is getting a bit of press, it isn't really open to the public, but can be photographed from the road. If you politely knock on the front door, John may come out and talk about it, or even start it up if he's not at work or building another roller coaster...
