It has moved and is now with the Montgomery Zoo. Right -- a place to see live and dead animals, neither of which are in their natural habitat or depicted in any real scenario (go figure why a zoo with live animals would want the dead ones killed by a hunter for a trophy kill).
[teresa paglione, 09/23/2003]The museum, owned by a famous bowhunter, rationalizes hunting by depicting carniverous animals and their prey. It has lots of (stuffed) bears, wolves, mountain lions, etc. in threatening postures, and large deer looking like trophies. Poisonous spiders and reptiles are also on display. Exhibit descriptions emphasize that hunting and killing is natural, without distinguishing between survival and entertainment.
Owner George P. Mann probably isn't related to Tom Mann, who runs Fish World in Eufaula, but the two museums have a similar feel and premise.
