Plymouth, Michigan - Plymouth Ice sculpture spectacular

During the second week in January, ice sculptors from around the globe gather together to test their skills against one another. What is shown varies from year to year, but there is always something extraordinary to be seen during the festival.

It is typically a weekend event, but the ice does have a tendency to last for a while afterward if the weather remains cold enough.

The Box Bar is open across the street from the festival and offers a nice view of the sculptures from many of the seats. [Jennifer Morse, 01/07/2000]
