Grover Cleveland, former mayor and ex-hangman, was twice President of the USA. His wooden statue at a school entrance began sprouting mushrooms, and had vanished by July 2017.

In 2010, a Grover Cleveland carved from a tree was unveiled outside the entrance to the Buffalo high school named in his honor. Eight feet tall and blocky, the way trees carved into people often are, it's well-suited to Cleveland, a blocky-looking man.
