Union Pacific Caboose Park. Take US Hwy 6 west from Omaha to 240th St., turn south, drive two miles, then turn west again on Hwy 92. Drive two miles, turn south onto 246th St., drive one mile, then turn east onto F St. The Two Rivers State Recreation Area is a mile ahead, the cabooses on the left.

Sleep in a Union Pacific Caboose

In Two Rivers State Recreation Area, near Waterloo, Nebraska, you can rent a cabin which used to be a Union Pacific caboose. The cabooses have been fixed up, nicely, complete with bathroom, kitchen, and sleeping areas.

Ten altogether. "To enjoy your caboose to the fullest, please plan ahead to bring the following items: bedding or sleeping bags (mattresses provided), towels and soap, eating utensils, charcoal and lighter fluid for grill cooking, cooking utensils, pillows."
