A lifesize Mastodon statue resides at Phillips Park Zoo in Aurora Illinois. Mastodon fossils and bones have been found here. They still do fossil digs near the lake on this property, near Phillips Park Golf Course.

Mastadon bones were found on the site in 1934. The Visitors Center building includes a Mastondon Gallery, displaying a skull, tusk, and other bones.
