The Hollywood Museum is an awesome place just a few blocks from the Walk of Fame and Chinese Theater. The museum is housed in the former Max Factor Make Up studio. This is the place where Lucy became a red head and Marilyn became a blonde. They have thousands of pieces of original memorabilia from old Hollywood. This place also doubles as a Max Factor make up museum.
The building itself is amazing Art Deco architecture. Even the bathrooms are cool. They have amazing things, including original clothing from Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and even Superman's suit. One of the fabulous things in the basement of horror memorabilia is the full length hallway of jail cells and brick from "Silence of the Lambs."
If you enjoy Hollywood memorabilia, you could spend hours here. And in case you were wondering, Pee Wee's Bike is not in the basement of the Alamo, it's in the basement of the Hollywood Museum!
