McKinley Loves Ida Statue
The statue of William McKinley, 25th President of the U.S. and one of eight U.S. Presidents from Ohio, stands on the west side of the State Capitol, which serves as a nice backdrop to the memorial. The state keeps this and other statues and monuments that surround the capitol in pristine shape.
On either side of McKinley are two figures. The female holding a palm branch is Peace and the male is Prosperity. At the bottom of the statue is a placard with a phone number to call to hear an audio recording of the history of McKinley and the statue. Call 614-728-6883.
